ABOUT THE PRINT
About The Artist:Edgar Degas (1834–1917) was a French artist celebrated for his pastel drawings and paintings, especially of dancers. Though associated with Impressionism, he considered himself a realist and focused on movement, detail, and psychological depth. Trained in classical art, he later embraced modern subjects like ballet, horse racing, and portraits. Degas also created sculpture, prints, and photographs. Never married, he grew reclusive in later years and died in Paris nearly blind.
