ABOUT THE PRINT
About The Artist: Eugène Boudin (1824–1898) was a pioneering French landscape and marine painter, known for his seascapes and masterful skies. Encouraged by artists like Millet and Isabey, he left commerce to pursue art, painting outdoors (en plein air) and influencing Claude Monet. Though he joined the first Impressionist exhibition, Boudin remained a traditionalist. Celebrated in his lifetime, he received numerous honors. He died in Deauville, near the coastal scenes he loved to paint.
